The Scooter Stuffin Game Continues…
OK, so I’ve published a few posts bragging about how much stuff I’ve carried home on my little 125cc Buddy scooter. I’ve been quite proud of my scooter stuffing abilities. It’s a challenge I embrace willingly.
But, I MUST admit, I’ve been beat at my own game. One of my readers, Jim from Colorado, writes:
“Enjoyed your story about “packing them up” on shopping trips. We tried that – so far, I got a 16×24 framed painting bought at a yard sale (stuck into my jacket front), 2 6 packs of root beer (floorboard), a gallon of milk & 6 cans of cat food (backpack), 6 candy bars & 2 pkgs of hostess donuts (glovebox), 2 bags of groceries (rear seat rack) and 2 1/2 gallons of OJ in a plastic bag bungee’d to the handlebars. Was a very unique ride home but all made it home intact. Wind resistance from the painting was quite an experience to write home about = what an adventure.”
Now, that evokes quite a picture, doesn’t it? I just wish I could have seen it for real!
If you have any scooter stuffing stories of your own, please use the Comments link at the top of this post to tell us!
Meanwhile, keep on scootin’

I got a kick out of the stuffing stories. My husband and I once carried a 15″ pizza home on a two seat scooter. I sat on back, reaching my arms around him and holding the pizza level while he drove. All worked out great until we came to our destination and he hit the brake. The forward motion made me move forward and the pizza box pressed on the horn button – blaring the news that there were two idiots on a motor scooter trying to lug home a pizza! We still laugh at this one from time to time (just about every time we go for pizza in fact).
Wow that guy must have been packed to the RIMS (literally) with stuff. I too wish I could see a picture of it all on his bike.
